Council has decided to hire a part-time Youth worker specifically devoted to Junior and Senior High School teenagers to encourage the attending youth in their faith.
We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible until May/June 2024 for 8-10 hours a week. This person would be responsible for setting up weekly Tuesday events including leading devotionals and activities.
The hours could be quite flexible. The person could choose to prepare for each Tuesday Youth evening a few hours the week before or on Monday. However, the development of a regular schedule would be expected to be set up and maintained.
The person applying would need to demonstrate:
A strong commitment to Christ and His Church
A sense that this is something God is calling them to do.
An ability to connect with young people.
Strong leadership skills.
Experience setting up events.
The person would also be expected to help facilitate our Safe Church Policy as it pertains to youth ministry.
